In 2014, I was diagnosed with inflammation in my left eye. Treatment required an active schedule of eye drops and frequent appointments to multiple doctors.

While frustrated with my vision problems, I coped via creative therapy. I created the first version of this children's book about a green rhino with vision problems.

I later updated the illustrations entirely, and Siris the Rhino became 1 of 4 books in my 1st Kickstarter campaign In 2017. The collection also included a book about a Ronald Crump, a wedding planning story, and a moose that dies. :)
